Abstract [English]

Gandhi ji was a worshipper of truth and non-violence, so religion is the system of moral discipline of the world for him. Gandhi ji has accepted religion as the basic element of life and society. Gandhi ji has included every work of the world in the field of religion, whether it is personal or social. Gandhi ji's religion is not communalism. Gandhi ji had deep faith in Hinduism but it was not due to communalism. Gandhi ji accepted the spiritual and moral essence of Hinduism. He used to say that the essence of religions like Judaism, Christianity, Islam etc. is the same as that of Hinduism. The search for truth is the basic element of Hinduism. The reason for his attraction towards Hinduism was that this religion believes in living peacefully with other religions and does not claim that it is the best religion.
