Abstract [English]

The objective of this study is to analyze the relationship between the use of smartphones and the academic achievement of higher secondary students in Barabanki district. Academic achievement is measured by students' academic success, exam results, and overall academic performance. Excessive smartphone use significantly impacts students' lives, potentially leading to various impacts on academic performance. This study included 160 students (80 boys and 80 girls) from government and private schools in urban and rural areas of Barabanki district. The research found that excessive smartphone use has no significant impact on academic achievement. However, purposeful and moderate smartphone use can improve students' academic achievement. This study sends a message to educational institutions and policymakers that smartphones should be used for educational purposes and students should be encouraged to use them positively. Moderation in smartphone use and adherence to guidelines can contribute to students' academic development.
