CHARACTERISTICS OF THE SOCIETY OF THAT TIME IN THE CONTEXT OF THE PLAY MUDRARAKSHAS

Abstract [English]

The play Mudrarakshasam is an extraordinary play among Sanskrit plays. This play is a heroic play based on a political story. It is not necessary to consider any play as a mere story, because through every play the playwright presents some educational topic to the audience, which becomes very important for the audience. The play Mudrarakshasam written by Vishakhadatta is no exception. Through this play, the playwright has beautifully depicted social images, through which we get a clear idea of ​​the state of society at that time. We cannot live without society because we are social beings and we learn through experience what society accepts. Just as Vishakhadatta has highlighted the social characteristics through the play Mudrarakshasam, we can learn about the social characteristics of that time through them, on the other hand, I believe that by adopting the characteristics that the society of that time finds acceptable, we can make the society more prosperous.

मुद्राराक्षसम् नाटक संस्कृत नाटकों में एक असाधारण है। यह नाटकएक राजनीतिक कहानी पर आधारितवीररस प्रधान नाटक है। किसी भीनाटक महज कहानी समझना जरूरी नहीं हैं, क्योंकि प्रत्येक नाटक के माध्यम से नाटककार दर्शकों के समक्ष कोई न कोई शिक्षाप्रत विषय प्रस्तुत करता है, जो दर्शकों के लिए बहुत आवश्यक हो जाता है। विशाखदत्त द्वारा लिखित नातक मुद्राराक्ष‌सम् कोई अपवाद नहीं है। इस नाटक के नाटक माध्यम से नाटककार ने सामाजिक छवियों का सुन्दर चित्रण किया है, जिसके माध्यम से उस समय के समाज की स्थिति का स्पष्ट विचार प्राप्त होता है। हम समाज के बिना नहीं रह सकते क्योंकि हम सामाजिक प्राणी हैं और समाज जो स्वीकार करता है, हम अनुभव के माध्यम से उसे सीखते हैं। जिस प्रकार विशाखदत्त ने मुद्राराक्षसम् नाटक के माध्यम से जिन सामाजिक विशेषताओं को उजागर किया है, उनके माध्यम से हम उस समय की सामाजिक विशेषताओं के बारे में जान सकते हैं, वहीं दूसरी ओर मेरा मानताहै कि उस समय के समाज को जो विशेषताएं स्वीकार्य लगती हैं, उन्हें अपनकार हम समाज को और अधिक समृद्ध बना सकते हैं।
