Abstract [English]

This paper examines the evolutionary journey of Pichwai Art from its religious roots in Nathdwara, Rajasthan, to its current secular manifestations. The purpose of this study is to trace how Pichwai art, originally intended for temple worship, has transitioned to contemporary spaces while retaining its cultural and spiritual significance. Using historical analysis and visual investigation, the research explores the intricate patterns and vibrant motifs of Pichwai art, such as lotuses, peacocks, and Krishna’s flute, and their symbolic meanings. The methodology includes a review of literature, fieldwork. The findings reveal the challenges faced by artists due to secularization and propose strategies for conserving this traditional art form. This study concludes that despite modernization, Pichwai art continues to thrive, reflecting its adaptability and enduring appeal.

यह पेपर राजस्थान के नाथद्वारा में अपनी धार्मिक जड़ों से लेकर वर्तमान धर्मनिरपेक्ष अभिव्यक्तियों तक पिछवाई  कला की विकासवादी यात्रा की जांच करता है। ऐतिहासिक विश्लेषण और दृश्य जांच का उपयोग करते हुए, शोध पिछवाई  कला के जटिल नमूर्नों और जीवंत रूपांकनों, जैसे कमल, मोर और  कृष्ण की बांसुरी, और उनके प्रतीकात्मक अर्थों की खोज करता है। इस अध्ययन का उद्देश्य यह पता लगाना है कि पिछवाई  कला, जो मूल रूप से मंदिर की पूजा के लिए थी, अपने सांस्कृतिक और आध्यात्मिक महत्व को बरकरार रखते हुए समकालीन स्थानों में कैसे परिवर्तित हो गई है। कार्यप्रणाली में साहित्य की समीक्षा, क्षेत्रीय कार्य आदि शामिल हैं। निष्कर्ष धर्मनिरपेक्षता के कारण कलाकारों के सामने आने वाली चुनौतियों को उजागर करते हैं और इस पारंपरिक कला रूप के संरक्षण के लिए रणनीतियों का प्रस्ताव करते हैं। इस अध्ययन का निष्कर्ष है कि आधुनिकीकरण के बावजूद, पिछवाई  कला अपनी अनुकूलनशीलता और स्थायी अपील को दर्शाते हुए फल-फूल रही है।
